light and its effects

Yes, it's true that the weather makes you less want to move around, go out, get up, but you have no choice, life goes on! But what is light? It is electromagnetic radiation that can be perceived by your eye (depending on its wavelength...). But we are not here to discuss physics but rather to talk to you about well-being.

The light will above all influence your mood. When you have a lack of light, you have a deficit of melatonin and serotonin, you can feel in you, a bad mood or even a changing mood.

But what are the benefits of light?

The light will therefore have an impact on your morale, but it will also have other benefits:

- For morale: it allows you to regulate your biological hormones, the brain will in particular produce serotonin, thus bringing you a feeling of well-being. Without light you will tend to be more tired/depressed, in the extreme case: this is called seasonal depression.

- For sight: the light will act on dopamine, which is an essential neurotransmitter for the proper functioning of your retina and thus allow you to improve your sight.

- For vitamin C: this vitamin is an essential element for the development and renewal of muscle tissue, but also for maintaining energy within the body.

- For aging: going to bed at regular times is all the more important when you start to get older, so you can avoid certain falls, stimulate yourself intellectually, improve your concentration and avoid depression.

OWARI TIP : If the sun is not there, you can always invest in a light therapy lamp. It will reproduce the light rays of the sun, by diffusing a white light (also called broad-spectrum lamp). To use it, it's very simple, you just have to turn on the lamp, position yourself in front of it and expose your face and other parts of your body.

PS: Do you have a drop in diet? You need to regain energy. The OWARI team has concocted the Boost Routine for you: a tea that will give you a good boost!
